Manufacturing
We offer both full manufacturing and CMT services for independent designers as well as established brands, including:
- pattern making
- grading
- designer support
- fabric sourcing for organic cottons, handloom (khadi), cotton/silk
- sampling
- full-service manufacture and/or CMT
- export shipping for custom orders
- custom print production for block prints using AZO free, low-impact dyes
- solid color dyeing using AZO free dyes
All work is done in-house to fair trade labor standards.

- natural fibers (cotton, linen, limited range of silk) sourced in India from either ethical/GOTS certified organic or cottage industry sources such as handloom (khadi) fabric.
Fabric Sourcing
We source Indian made natural fibre fabrics only. We work specifically with organic cotton woven fabrics and handloom cottons. We also source a limited range of cotton/silk, cotton/linen and linen weaves.

At Roots Jaipur, we believe creativity should never be limited by quantity. That’s why we proudly support small businesses, boutique brands, and first-time creators.
Minimum Order Quantities? Not a Barrier.
We accept low minimum quantities so you can start small and grow confidently — whether you’re launching a new product line, testing a market, or building a custom collection.
- garment order MOQ is 500 pcs total order, 50 pcs per style for up to 3 sizes to MAX-OQ 2,500 pcs.
- homewares order MOQ is 700 pcs (per style MOQ from 10-50 dependent on style) to MAX-OQ 5,000 pcs
- hand block printed fabric MOQ is 300 meters per print to MAX-OQ 20,000 meters
- fabric dyeing MOQ is 150 meters per color to MAX-OQ 50,000 meters

Quality Assurance/Design Protection
- All garment manufacturing is done in-house. We do solid color dyeing on wovens and block printing in-house using AZO free dyes. Our dyeing and custom block printing is done in-house at our Sanganer unit. We also work with local area artisans in Bagru Village for block printing.
- We make a clear and strong commitment to protect all customer’s designs at every stage of production.
Quality Assurance Process
During the manufacturing process, we do quality checks at each stage:
- fabric visual check before and after dyeing, color and accuracy check during dyeing or printing
- measurement and construction check during production
- after production: visual check of fabric, seams, alignment, overall look, removal of loose threads, accessories check (zips, buttons, labels)
- packing: final visual check after pressing and during packing
Beyond Our Scope
- We do not work with fabrics such as: synthetics, high-performance fibers, mill-made, knits, wool, leather, plastics. We work only with fabric sourced within India.
- We do not offer tie and dye, digital printing, or machine roller printing. We offer custom block printing, and very rarely, by special arrangement, a limited range of hand screen printing.
- We don’t make mesh produce bags, customized printed tote bags, nappy bags, baseball caps, hats.
- We don’t offer machine embroidery. We offer only very simple single-line hand embroidery such as a kantha stitch line or blanket stitch edge.
- We don’t offer vegetable dye printing for custom orders, rather we work with GOTS compliant, AZO free, water-based binder pigment colors for block print orders.
